Details
VLIR-UOS awards scholarships to students and professionals from eligible countries in Africa, Asia, and Latin America to pursue English-taught Master's programmes (ICP Connect) or training programmes at Flemish universities and university colleges in Belgium. Candidates must apply directly to the organizing university, not to VLIR-UOS. The scholarships are designed to empower individuals to contribute to development in their home countries.
Eligibility Criteria
• Nationality and Residence: Candidates must be a national and resident of one of the 29 eligible countries (Benin, Bolivia, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cambodia, Cameroon, Cuba, DR Congo, Ecuador, Ethiopia, Guinea, Haiti, Indonesia, Kenya, Madagascar, Morocco, Mozambique, Nicaragua, Niger, Peru, Philippines, Rwanda, Senegal, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Venezuela, Vietnam, Zimbabwe) at the time of application. • Age: Candidates must be 35 years or less on January 1 of the intake year for an initial Master's programme, and 45 years or less for an advanced Master's programme. • Professional Background: Preference is given to candidates employed in higher education, research institutes, government, the social economy, or NGOs, or those aiming for a career in these sectors. • Previous Scholarships: Candidates must not have previously received a scholarship from the Belgian government to attend a study programme and should not be enrolled in a Flemish higher education institution at the time of application.
