Details
The University of Malta offers a scholarship scheme specifically designed to attract high-quality students from outside the EU/EEA to pursue postgraduate research degrees. Applications are assessed by a Scholarship Selection Board based on academic qualifications and the quality of the research proposal. The selection process is competitive and funds are limited. Applications are received and processed three times a year.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must be accepted unconditionally to read for a Master by Research or Ph.D. on a full-time or part-time basis at the University of Malta. Applicants must be Third Country Nationals (Non-EU/EEA) who are required to pay tuition fees. Applicants must demonstrate high academic merit and submit a strong research proposal. The scholarship is available for both new applicants and those already registered, provided they meet the criteria.
Financial Benefits
The scholarship provides a Tuition Fee Waiver of up to 100%. The fee waiver applies for the normal duration of the program (up to 2 years for Masters, up to 4 years for PhD). The scholarship does NOT cover bench fees, accommodation, living expenses, transport, insurance, or visa costs.
