Applications are open for the KNB Indonesian Government Scholarship 2026. KNB Scholarship is a prestigious scholarship funded by the Government of Indonesia, Directorate of Higher Education, Ministry of Education and Culture. The Kemitraan Negara Berkembang Scholarship, commonly referred to as the KNB Scholarship, is a financial support initiative provided by the Indonesian Government for prospective international students from developing nations.

KNB Scholarship Areas of Study:
The KNB Scholarship 2026 is available across a wide range of Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral programs at Indonesian universities. These include, but are not limited to:
Biology, Engineering, Economics, Physics, Chemistry, Visual Art and Design, Architecture, Transportation, Management Science, Pharmacy, Astronomy, Mathematics, Earth Sciences, Instrumentation and Control, Logistics, Water Resource Management, Tourism Planning, Urban and Regional Planning, Computer Science, Informatics, Statistics, Communication Science, Accountancy, Law, Psychology, Veterinary Medicine, Library and Information Science, Nutrition, English Language and Literature, Midwifery, Public Administration, Anthropology, Nursing, Sociology, International Relations, History, Disaster Management, and Political Science
Eligibility Criteria
- First, applicants must be citizens of developing countries in order to apply for fully funded KNB Indonesian Government Scholarship.
- For Bachelor’s programs, applicants must have a high school degree. However, those who already hold a Bachelor’s degree are not eligible.
- For Master’s programs, applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree. Similarly, applicants who already hold a Master’s degree are not eligible to apply.
- For PhD programs, applicants must hold a Master’s degree. In the same way, PhD degree holders are not eligible.
- Additionally, the age limit is 21 years for Bachelor’s programs, 35 years for Master’s programs, and 40 years for PhD programs.
- Furthermore, applicants must have English language skills. However, IELTS is not required for native English speakers or for those who completed their previous education at an English-speaking institution.
Documents Required for Indonesian Government Scholarship:
- First, a letter of recommendation from the Indonesian Embassy or Consulate General is required.
- Next, two academic recommendation letters from your previous school or supervisor must be submitted.
- Additionally, a valid passport copy is required.
- Moreover, applicants must provide scanned copies of their degree certificates (High School for Bachelor’s, Bachelor’s for Master’s, Master’s for PhD).
- Also, academic transcripts must be included with the application.
- Furthermore, proof of English proficiency (TOEFL or IELTS) is needed if required.
- Finally, an updated CV and a motivation or statement of purpose letter must be attached.
