Details

The FAO Global AgriInno Challenge (GAC) 2026 is organized by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). The challenge aims to identify and accelerate youth-led innovative solutions that address the theme 'Accelerating Innovation for Resilient Agrifood Systems.' It provides a platform for young entrepreneurs to showcase their digital solutions and business models that can help solve pressing agricultural issues. Selected teams will receive intensive training and the chance to pitch their ideas to a global audience of investors and experts.

Eligibility Criteria

Startups must be youth-led, with founders or co-founders aged between 18 and 35 years old.
The innovation must contribute to accelerating the transformation of agrifood systems into more resilient, sustainable, and inclusive ones.
Solutions should be at the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) stage or beyond.
Startups must demonstrate high potential for scalability and positive social or environmental impact.
Applicants must be proficient in English to participate in the application and pitch process.
