 Applications are now open for the GKS Korean Government Graduate Scholarship 2026 (GKS-G). The Global Korea Scholarship is a Fully Funded Scholarship for International students run by the Korean Government. In 2026, the Korean Government will invite 2,000 international students under the 2026 Global Korea Scholarship program for Master’s and PhD Programs. No GRE/IELTS/TOEFL is required. The Studies will begin in September 2026. There is no application fee for the Global Korea Scholarship. The Scholarship covers tuition fees, monthly stipends, room, airfare tickets, visas, books, and all other costs related to the scholarship. Tracks of the GKS Scholarship

The Global Korea Scholarship (GKS) offers two application tracks:

  • Embassy Track: You will submit your applications to the Korean Embassy in your home country. You will select the Korean Universities specified by the Korean Embassy in your home country. Generally higher competition due to more applicants.
  • University Track: In this track, you will apply directly for admission to the Korean University and select the GKS Scholarship in the online application form.

Eligibility Criteria

 

  • The GKS Global Korea Graduate Scholarship is open to all nationals.
  • All applicants and their parents must not hold Korean citizenship.
  • Applicants must have earned a bachelor’s degree or be expected to complete their bachelor’s degree program by the start of the scholarship period.
