The Global Korea Scholarship (GKS), formerly known as KGSP, is designed to provide international students with opportunities to study at higher educational institutions in Korea to promote international exchange in education and mutual friendship between countries. It supports Bachelor's, Master's, and PhD degrees across various fields. The Embassy Track application for the 2027 intake is anticipated to open around September 2026.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must be non-Korean citizens (including from African countries). For graduate degrees (Master's/PhD), applicants must be under 40 years of age. For undergraduate degrees, applicants must be under 25 years of age. Must hold the required academic degree for the chosen program. Specific requirements vary by country and program. Applicants must apply through the Korean Embassy in their home country.
Financial Benefits
Fully funded, including full tuition fees, a monthly stipend, round-trip airfare, settlement allowance, language training fees, and medical insurance.
