Details
Universität Hamburg grants merit scholarships to outstanding international students and doctoral researchers of all subjects and degree levels who are actively involved in social or intercultural international contexts. The scholarships are funded by the City of Hamburg, the Karl H. Ditze Stiftung, and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). Funding is generally awarded for 2 semesters (12 months). Students can re-apply for a scholarship.
Eligibility Criteria
•You are pursuing an academic degree at Universität Hamburg
•You have been enrolled in your degree program for at least 2 semesters (Bachelor, Staatsexamen, Diplom, Magister) or 1 semester (Master, M.A., M.Sc., LL.M., doctoral researchers)
•You do not hold German citizenship
•You are not eligible for the federal student loan scheme (BAföG)
•You demonstrate good to excellent academic performance
•You demonstrate social or intercultural engagement (e.g., voluntary work)
Financial Benefits
•Maximum monthly funding sum of €930
•Individual doctoral researchers may be awarded €1,200 per month
•Funding is awarded for 2 semesters (12 months)
