The Jefferson Fellowships are the East-West Center's premier professional development opportunity for journalists. The program typically includes a dialogue session at the East-West Center in Honolulu, Hawaii, followed by a study tour to multiple cities in the Asia Pacific region. The fellowship aims to deepen journalists' understanding of the region and complex issues through on-the-ground experience and meetings with experts and policy makers.
Eligibility Criteria
•Working print, broadcast, and online journalists
•Minimum of five years of professional experience
•Citizens of the United States, Asia, or the Pacific Islands
•Proficiency in English
•Commitment to the entire duration of the program
