Eligibility
•Open to candidates of any nationality (UK, EU, and International applicants)
•Applicants must have achieved or be on track to achieve a first-class UK degree or international equivalent at the undergraduate level, or a distinction at Master's level
•Must have secured the agreement of an eligible Imperial College London academic supervisor who has agreed to supervise the research project
•Applicants must apply for a full-time or part-time PhD programme at Imperial College London starting in the relevant academic year
•Current Imperial College PhD students are only eligible if they started their PhD within the specific timeframe designated in the scheme guidance (typically within the last year)
•Must meet Imperial College London's standard admission and English language requirements
Details
The President's PhD Scholarships scheme offers outstanding candidates the opportunity to undertake a PhD research project of their choosing with the support of an exceptional supervisor at Imperial College London. Providing up to 50 research scholarships each academic year, this is one of Imperial's most prestigious funding opportunities. Candidates must make contact with an Imperial academic supervisor who agrees to support their application before submitting their formal PhD application.
Financial Benefits
•Full tuition fees covered at either Home or Overseas rates
•A generous tax-free annual stipend to assist with living costs (typically £25,120+ per annum)
•A consumables fund of £2,000 per annum for the first three years of study
•Bespoke leadership and professional development training opportunities
•Funding supported for up to 3.5 to 4 years of doctoral research
