Details
The applications are now open for the Bulgaria INSAIT Summer Research Fellowship 2026. It is a Fully Funded 8 to 12-week summer Internship for International students from all around the world. There is no application fee. The Objective of the INSAIT Summer Research Fellowship is to engage students in research activities during the summer under the mentorship of INSAIT faculty. Bulgaria is now a Schengen country. The Summer Fellowship will be at the Institute for Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence and Technology (INSAIT). The Institute is Located in Sofia, Bulgaria. The student and their mentor decide the exact dates of the Fellowship. Below are more details on the Financial Benefits and the Application Process.
Eligibility Criteria
1. The INSAIT Bulgaria Summer Research Fellowship is open to all nationals.
2. Undergraduate students enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program at any accredited institution are eligible to apply.
3. First Year Undergrad students can also apply.
4. The students should be enrolled in a STEM major, such as computer science, mathematics, physics, or engineering.
5. A minimum GPA of 3.5 (out of 4.0) is required.

Financial Benefits
The Program Covers:
- Monthly Stipend: All students will receive a 1500 EUR monthly stipend to cover living expenses.
- Accommodation: INSAIT will arrange and cover the accommodation.
- Travel Expenses: Travel expenses to/from Bulgaria will be covered by INSAIT.
- Visa Assistance: INSAIT will assist selected candidates with visa applications.
- Vacation during the summer Fellowship.
